This is most definitely a serious problem.  My friend's cat is such a stoner that he has taken to stealing in order to pay for his catnip habit.  Very sad...  ;-)

Time for an  "Intervention".  Perhaps your friend can contact the show's producers and see if they would do an episode of a feline catnip addict?  hehe
