Has anyone here have any experience with using a rendering service to produce their images?

What was it like?

How much did it cost?

Were you satisfied with the service?

Who did you use?

Hi,

I used Respower.com , it was really straight forward to set up an account with them(free to set up an account). I rendered a scene at 1600x1200 at ultra, I had something running on my other comps, I think render time was like 6/7 hours, cost around $15 I think, wasn't as expensive as I thought. You can even run a test render to get an idea of the cost before you actually pay out.

I was extremely satisfied with the service. However that was when I was using Vue 5 Inf, I don't think they support Vue 6 Inf yet(but probably well when the final version of Vue 6 Inf is released)

Cheers
Jon

Actually thinking of setting up such a service soon specifically for communities like ours. A small fee for farm usage, etc, full file confidentiality, the usual stuff.

Will keep you posted.

That;s definitely something I would be interested in being updated on too.
