Perks, Melanie's hat image IS of a proper beanie. Enimem is not wearing a beanie. Beanies do not have brims or folds. They do not stretch down over the face. Maclean probably has the best hat collection out there. If you want a hat like your photo, you should search under santa hat, stocking cap, etc.. PoserWorld had some winter clothes with hats like what you appear to need, but that site has been in upheval. Tygerlander has textures for hats and coats on her site, and I think there was a loose stocking cap like Enimem's there, and JohnW may have been the modeler, but I don't have time to go check.
