Yeah, overall slow here for me, too, at least the last few days.
I say "overall", because sometimes it's faster and sometimes slower, but on average, slow - that is, compared to other sites I visit with a comparable number of people online.
Actually, it'd be more like "intermittent". If the Web Gods ever give out an award for most inconsistent in speed, I'd think to nominate this place before all others.
Speaking of which, I have a question: Why do 99% of the sites I visit reload the last page immediately when I press the back button, whereas this site gives me the "waiting...waiting..waiting...and still waiting...on renderosity.com" message in the status bar?
It's so a new ad GIF can be loaded, right? Well, why can't the text come first, and the ads tag along later?

It seems that since the site crashed on Thanksgiving, the site has really slowed down.  Did Nick plug everything back in where it goes? :)

Maybe we need another site speed poll? I use my brother's p.c. and the site has been really slow for me as well the past few days. I also tried to update my home page area and my featured image areas today. In both instances, after I had selected the image for each area, my p.c. locked up and I had to completely restart it all over. In this forum area I also had a great deal of trouble. It kept saying it was reading and waiting for a long time and then finally brought up the threads. But when I tried to reply in the message box it would not allow me to do it. I finally clicked the source box above and it allowed me to finally type text to post. I believe my brother is using Netscape browser version 8.1.1 which he told me is the latest available and he recently spent alot of money upgrading to a satellite dish 1MB broadband connection. All the other similar art sites I visit seem to work well.

Going back stalls for me sometimes due to loading the reply box in message threads.  If that happens, a stop and reload tends to work well.

However, I haven't had any speed problems lately (but I didn't get many speed problems before, either).

Yes, you DO need it, make it a week, and I highly recommend the InterContinental Resort and Spa on Moorea, French Polynesia.  Trust me, the place DOES NOT suck!  Very friendly staff, fantastic food, and absolute beauty and fun!  Have a nice flight!!!
