Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
I dunno much about batgirl, to be honest. but I'll check it out . especially if there's a chance to abuse, oops I mean amuse some fanboys  I do know a bit about batman, mind you - e.g. I know all the words to the "batman" theme song (which I've got a recording by "the who" or somebody) I know batman is secretly millionaire bruce wayne, and robin is his youthful ward, bruce ward. not to mention albert, the butler, of course. and the ninja school in tibet. no, wait - i checked out the link. do they want us to post batgirl toons? I did one, but it's porno of course, r-rated. do they allow porno?
The Batgirl Meme doesn't seem to have rules, except that each artist offer his or her own individual interpretation of the character. Fun stuff. Cage is happy. :)
A cease and decist from DC is a concern of mine, now and then. I'm really trying to behave (publicly) where their characters are concerned, these days. So I won't advise that anyone post nasties of Batgirl, but I, personally, wouldn't mind seeing such things. :)
I don't know if I can get away with attaching this full-sized image. I... ah... suck at posing, lighting, and scene building. So I just build characters and do infinite test renders, then revise them and do more test renders. :) The attached is a new BG suit derived from the Vicky 1/2 catsuit, rather than the Posette catsuit, like the last one. that last one had some issues in the, uh, groin region.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

hmmm...I know The Jam did a version of it, in the late 70's, but apart from 'Batman', and 'dadadadadadadada'..;) I think that's it for the lyrics..;)
and if I could draw a straight line, I'd be at draw-erosity..;) Or maybe D.A. ...;)
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
anahl nathrak uth vas betude doth yel dyenvey..;)
The Jam did a version? Oh, man, now I'm going to have to go hunt for records again.
I know Voivod did a cover of the Batman theme.
No one ever did a cover of the goofy Batgirl theme. "Batgirl - who's baby are you?" Hmm. Actually, the lyrics are probably a bit sexist, considering how the character was proclaimed as a feminist archetype.
I guess the Batgirl Meme just doesn't swing with Rosity. Bummer. :)

Okay... just do it to amuse the fanboy geeks like me. Pretty please?Ahem.
I think my favorite of them all was Batgirl wearing a Robin look alike outfit!
"Meme" is a word that seems to be thrown around a lot on political websites for the past couple of years. It's generally used to indicate a way of "framing" or carefully packaging ideas for a certain effect, as far as I can tell. It may indicate a trend, more generally, or an idea that catches the public imagination somehow. I guess I should solidify my grasp of the term before I join in and start throwing it around. :) Pronounced "meem".
Yvonne as Marta, ah yes. A friend of mine watched that TOS episode and commented, "she does a good job of playing a flake." He could never understand my exaggerated interest in Yvonne. I guess he wasn't converted by clingy purple lurex at a young age. (YC, herself, doesn't seem to like it when people admire her for that reason....)
My only disappointment with the Batgirl Meme is that so many of the takes on the character seem to be based on the latest version, the mini-skirted "Batgirl" from the new "The Batman" cartoons. Batgirl in a mini skirt is just not right, IMO, unless she has Batwoman in tow. And maybe Bat-Mite.
Anyway.... I probably shouldn't be spamming the Poser forum with these OT ramblings. I thought the whole thing might be kind of fun, but a BG Poser render probably takes more time and effort than a BG sketch, unless you already have a figure put together. (I do, of course, have Batgirls at my website, down there in my sig line....) :)

I was going to try to WardrobeWizard your Yvonne Batgirl to TenTen for you, but apparently I can't figure out how to install TenTenP5 and can't find the zip file for TenTenR2 with the instructions for installing that version either.
I followed the instructions for TenTenP5 exactly and yet after exporting the V2Head-P5Body.obj to the proper directory with the options selected that they show in the tutorial it loads, but you can't see a thing except for the hip area.
Hey, I'm a big fan of the classic Yvonne Batgirl. Grew up with her and developed a fetish before I even knew what that was! lol.
I've been to your site before, love it! I don't know what I could add to the Batgirl genre, mind you. I'll think about it. If this thread disappears, or my pic is too spicy, I'll PM or e-mail it.
Good luck!
(BTW, LittleDragon, I went and looked, your render is too much fun! Great pic.)
Thanks for thinking of me, MatrixWorkz. (Mind you, I wasn't dropping any hints, above. I can't bring myself to buy Wardrobe Wizard, because I'm a cheapskate with little income... but I keep fishing for information about it. I understand it won't do fingers or gloves, which has been a primary reason so far for my not purchasing it. Is that true? No gloves?) I can't even say where to get the TenTen figures. I think someone should post all of them on one site, if that's allowed. When things are all strewn around, bits and pieces disappear with time. In fact, if it's allowed, maybe I could cobble together the stuff on a page at my site.... But anyway... I'm currently adapting the Vicky 1 catsuit for the figure. If anyone could Wardrobe Wizard that suit for basic Judy, I could probably adapt the joints for TenTen and post the result along with the new set. That may have been hint-dropping, right there.... :)
ThrommArcadia, I'd love to see whatever you come up with. And anyone else, too. :) This thread will presumably sink soon, but spicy is good.

Pedant Warning!
The term "meme" was coined by Richard Dawkins in the 70s.
A meme is actually an idea that displays traits similar to those of a living organism, or more specifically, the genetic code of a living organism. Just as genes are genetic sequences that propogate themselves by living inside of organismas and controlling their behavior, a meme is an "idea sequence" that propogates itself by living inside of human minds and controlling their behavior. Memes can be tunes, catchphrases, and even whole bodies of thought.
Just genes can sometimes further their own survival at the expense of their "host" organism (or more specifically, family line of host organisms) so too a meme can sometimes futher its own ends at the expense of the minds that host it. For example, the meme "It is honorable to die in battle for your country" can prove fatal to the mind that harbors it, yet the meme itself never dies out.
It must have been the gloves being attached to the syuit that caused Wardrobe Wizard to choak on me when I finally tried just using it to transfer the suit over to Judy's regular body. TenTenP5 is an unsupported figure but since it's basically Judy's body I was transfering to it should work, but alas, as you said, it doesn't do gloves and it crashed WW.
Have you tried just converting it to Judy's catsut? I know there's one out there for her somewhere because I have it as well. Don't recall where I got it from. Heck, it might have been a 2ndSkin that I made using the program 2ndSkin that I bought here a few years back. I'll have to check.
Just looked and I have both a file called P5WomanCatSuit as well as the 2ndSkin one I made under conforming clothing.
Thanks for the definition, Jimdoria. I'm glad for the clarification. I'd be pedantic, myself, if I were a bit smarter and/or better-educated. :) As it is, I'm just an babbling windbag and a source of extensive misinfirmation. :)
Thanks for trying, MatrixWorkz. The P5 catsuit seems to be just the P4 Posette catsuit regrouped. The Vicky 1 catsuit which I'm currently using is higher in resolution. I was afraid of that, with the gloves. Alas. :( Yet I wonder: if the V1 (slash V2) catsuit could be adjusted for Judy, would the morphs still be compatible? Or would it screw everything up? I don't really know how WW works. If the V1 catsuit could be transferred with morphs intact, I could try to swing the gloves somehow. It may even be time to create a new mesh for the gloves....

It's true. No gloves. Too many variations in finger setups, as I understand it.

If you convert an item and retain the original grouping, the original morphs still work (once you copy them over to the new CR2). The morphs might look a bit odd, though, depending upon how radically the base mesh has been reshaped.
