Anyone in a command role is damned if they do and damned if they don't (Mods) it is the nature of the beast. The mods here try to do their best and are faced with behavior here that they probably don't even get from their children. They only carry out the wishes of their master and the regulations the master has set. I am sure they have their own opinions about a lot of threads they must moderate.

I've been here a long time too granted in and out over the years while transitioning from career to retirement and I've tried to contribute as much as I can. For me, I pick the threads I want to respond to, say my peace and move on and I am trying very hard to do this for I am guilty of adding a bit too much in some of my threads.  I don't want to fight with people  heaven knows I've had my share and want no more of it. I still enjoy this place very much I just have to navigate around the mines once in a while to do so.

It is a shame when people leave but they must do what is in their best interest and what brings them peace. Events taking place in this forum are no different than the events taking place in the world and if we want and choose to we can make this a place an escape from those world events. But it's only if we want and what we contribute to this forum is what we will get out of it. Think about it we have people here from all over the world from all different walks of life and different experiences. If world governments don't want peace we sure as hell can have it here if we want to! Folks just need to lighten up a wee bit life is just too damn short.
