Quote - Bit of both. One thing I have found is that the thumb and fingers groups can't be selected in the preview screen - you have to use the bodyparts dropdown. It was more of an issue for the thumbs than the fingers. 

 

I am checking this now and I don't have any trouble selecting thumb and finger joints in preview.  I have no idea whatsoever why it would give you trouble there, that's pretty strange.  I've tried all joints of fingers and thumb and I don't see that problem.
