You can just use the tom3692 to credit him we do not give out personal information of members and if he wanted someone to know his real name he probably would have answered your IM.

"...and if he wanted someone to know his real name he probably would have answered your IM."
Actually I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt that he has not seen the IM instead of the possibility that he might just be rude not to at least have responded with a "thank you, but no thanks, I'd rather remain anonymous" when I am offerring name recognition for an artist's creation."
But, OK then, that's how I'll credit him; "tom3692". Not very professional, though. How many Hollywood movie credits do you see with just a person's obscure nickname is their only listing and not at least included within their full name? No way to get recognition outside of the closed little online communities where that person posts using that nick. The individual receives no personal recognition from a wider audience, such as the film festival I plan to enter the animation. But so be it.
BTW, if you check the closing credits of my Godzilla animation (posted on YouTube.com - search "Godzilla" and "Poser" and you'll find it), you'll see how I usually do closing credits - using the person's full and nicknames. (The dozen's of artist's I contacted were delighted to be asked for inclusion of their real names.) Just seems to be a more meaningful way of giving credit and recognition to the artists. But to each their own.

I didn't mean to insinuate that he was being rude I just ment that if he hasn't answered you it might mean he doesn't want to have his real name listed. He very well might not have even read your IM to him yet.

Thank you kindly for that tip. I forgot about that IM trick.
Looks like he hasn't read it yet. Hopefully he will, because I really strive to give credit where credit is due when I use someone else's creations.
And I goofed his nick in the title to this thread - it's "tom3962", not 3692.

SndCastle, I understand, and appologize if I came off a bit rude myself, because I didn't mean to. It's been a tough week. I'm trying to finish off this animation before I have to go for spine surgery this week. Not knowing the outcome, I wanted to make sure I had wrapped up all the lose ends as properly as I could. Guess I'm running a bit testy right now.

Thats ok :O) Good luck on your surgery

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. When I get out, I'll check back in an let you know how it went. I expect everything to go just fine, and because of that, I know it will.
