Subject: Vue 6 Esprit Ecosystems

SteveCat ( ) posted Tue, 12 December 2006 at 8:08 AM · edited Fri, 27 September 2024 at 6:20 AM

Will Vue 6 esprit give me quality ecosystems?  I understand that I won'tbe able to create them, but as I understqand it Vue 6 includes some (How many?) ecosystem presets/materials.

Will I be able to "paint" with them?

Is there a place where I can d/l more?

Is there a prohibition with others sharing what they have created?

Thanks, this is the feature that most appeals to me for upgrading from 5 to 6.

Vue 6 Esprit comes with SOME ecosystems installed but you can't paint with them unless you buy the Ecosystems plugin (which I did).

I've not seen anything at Cornucopia for downloading more ecosystems stuff but there is some in the Vue MP here.

Can't help with the sharing thing, I haven't created anything for Ecosystems yet.

I agree, the Ecosystems support was my main reason for upgrading and I'm glad I did.  If you check my gallery I posted a simple render that was over 32 mil polys using an Ecosystems preset and it rendered quickly and without problems.

I believe the "paint ecosystems options are only in V6I.. check the comparison chart they have on Eon's website...

Also if you buy the Ecosystems plugin, Garee.

But if you buy esprit and the plugin isn't it better to just go whole hawg and get VgI instead?

Here's the deal - my upgrade from Vue 5 Esprit to Vue 6 Esprit was $79, plus the $99 for the Ecosystems.  To upgrade from Vue 5 Esprit to Vue 6 Infinite would have been $399.

You do the math ... lol

From the e-on website:
"**EcoSystem generation 2 features (interactive painting, multi-layered EcoSystems) are not available in this module. EcoSystem generation 2 is only available in Vue 6 Infinite and Vue 6 xStream."

I thought I read that somewhere.. that's why I went for V6I

Since interactive painting for Ecosystems isn't something I'm interested in, my solution works best for me.  Maybe next time I'll upgrade to Infinite but not this time, especially since Christmas is right around the corner.

The interactive painting was a HUGE reason I upgraded. I can now easily make the scene that I wanted, and place things right where I want them to be.

That's made a world of different in Vue use to me. (Pun intended)
