Never fear, I figured it out, was very simple, which is why I had trouble with it, if that makes any sense. And I gotta admit, I love the daz button in the Bryce interface. That made it so so simple. Went into bryce, clicked the daz button, imported the wolf, posed him and (somehow) went back to bryce and there he was just like I posed him. with his mat and all.
