Take a look at the tutorials on this site if you're interested in clothing.  Personally I use dynamic cloth for most everything, and I got all of my base understanding from the tuts here.  I even use it for things like socks and panties/underware becuase you can start with the stander figure and then let the cloth "grow/shrink" to fit unusual or non-suported morphs.  It takes more time but in many cases the quality is much higher on anything that is made of cloth.
