Is it to see just how far the envelope can be pushed?
Offhand I'd say that well over 50% of the images posted here are more for the Kudos thing, and probably another 25% are to show the rest of the world how clever one has been with the latest character/pose/light set he/she bought from here.
No doubt the "creative urge" is alive and well, but for some people, pushing the envelope might be an important part of that.
But, hey, it's all good, and they (Renderosity) can do what they want, far as I'm concerned. If I were running a digital art site catering mostly to the world of Poser, I probably wouldn't allow 90% of the stuff they allow, including my own stuff.
