BTW, for those curious about P6 versus P7 render times, render times for the image in the first post were as follows:

P6 Firefly --> 4 minutes and 7 seconds

P7 Firefly --> 2 minutes and 40 seconds. 

That's a little less than two-thirds the render time for P7.  Not too bad, especially for a machine without a dual or quad core...

I'm so glad you posted this, I've been wondering if it was worth buying P7 seeing as I don't have a multicore processor, now you've reassured me that it'll be more than worth it.
