Quote - hoppersan2000, and others who feel "seriously BENT OVER," I guess I'm showing my age, and it may not make me very popular around here to say it, but -- having started with a Radio Shack TRS-80 computer, and only beginning to get semi-serious when the company I worked for bought a Compaq 286 and Autodesk's AutoCAD back in about 1984 (and that very, very basic system then cost $12,000.00; yeah; lest anyone think I made a typo, not $1,200, but $12,000 - (and how much more would that be in today's dollars?)) -- I just gotta say today's Poser users are SOOOOOOOOOO spoiled!!!
But of course ... not that I mean that in a bad way ... ;*)
You bought a 286 in 1984 when they were still only selling 8088's? Wow! Must be nice to have a time machine or insider access to technologies not yet available to the public I guess that's why it cost you so much.
I bought my first PC in 1984 also and it was the Tandy 1000(A) 8088 with 16 colors for a whopping $1,000. I upgraded it to the 286 board two years later when they were available to the general public.
In anycase, I don't hate EF or Poser 7, I just had to balk at the price you paid.
