thefixer,  I won't try to comment on the quality of any particular automated clothing adapter app, but just as a "reality check", do understand that NONE of these apps will give you the same level of results that the original modeller (human) might do, in either creating morphs or adapting to a different figure.  And I think the authors of these apps would all agree with me on that (I know that PhilC has stated that before).  This is not a slam on these products - they just can't do the job that a live person can do in a modelling app.

The best results likely come from higher density, 'bulky' meshes that are not skin-tight.  Less desirable results from lower density 'smooth' meshes that are skin-tight.  And a whole range of goodness in between.

So to a large extent, the end quality will depend on the particular mesh being adapted, the available tools and (not least) the skill of the human running the tools.  Some apps only offer a one-click type tool and you get, what you get (not much skill/knowledge required, but maybe not as flexable).  I do know that WW (for example) comes with various tools to help tune the results of the initial conversion, so knowing how to use those should result in better.. uhm, results. :)

Having said that, the process of getting your old clothing items converted to some new figure could be worth $$$ to you in value/savings.  And the results you get on many clothing items are perfectly acceptable.
