  1. I never said that data is in the HDRI
  2. I stated several times that my explanation was simplified. (not everybody is a math head)
  3. It works for any object, your confusing reflectivity with illumination.

Here is the same scene with non reflective materials, clearly the HDRI IS ILLUMINATING THE SCENE.

  1. I've noticed that you post nothing but negative responses to anyone who has tried to explain HDRI, which leads me to believe that you are just trolling. So I will no longer respond to your posts.
