That's strange. Poser7 hasn't crashed on me ... yet. Still, the erase figure time lag is distractive. However, it only happens to me for the first figure erased, after that, it runs more or less smoothly. But that is me. Cimputers being so customizable, exotic combinations can cause unforseen problems on a software. So probably an open beta as with Silo or Lightwave could be used, but those two proggies are more in a specialized market niche, with users mostly knowledgeable about lots of things that Poser people don't need to know (which IMO is great, no need to be a 3d guru to use Poser and get outstanding work).
Probably the best choice is to report the crashes etc to customer support so they have more information on what is working and what not, so when the service release is ummm released, it irons out as much glitches and bugs as possible.
