Quote - With the ability to add various refections and specular and such in the material room, I can't believe people are still releasing and/or buying eyes with painted on highlights/reflections!
(Covet: I buy for skins usually and if the included eye texture has such, I paint it out on the map.)
Anyway... I'm not a big fan of the new eyes. To much going on without enough improvement for it to matter IMVHO.
Still, I'm sure there will be replacement eyes soon enough or that you can use other eyes with a bit of work.
V4 takes alot of getting used to. I see the potential, but I haven't had any results yet that have amazed me. I think she is much better for animation then V3, due to full facial expressions, eye movement and body flexibility.
In the end, what she looks like out of the box does not matter, it will be the artist's ability to change it that matters.
Also, remember this, just because V4 is out does not mean you have to abandon V3! Use the right character for the right scene. Your art should not be based on what mesh you use, it should be the other way around.
V3 has a lot of clothing, textures and morph options that are not available presently for V4. No need to throw her out.
If you need a look or pose that V3 cannot do, then you might find what you need in V4, or Sydney, or Possette, or whatever.
It all depends on what look you as an artist want in the end. Don't let product dictate your art, do it the other way around!!
thank you!
from what I see her joints are her selling point..I have been mulling over though, would it be possible to parent v3s head to a v4 body? that way I can have my beloved face I use most often with the joints I see as being highly promising in v4.(skin color matters little as I post work it so much)

...I dont know why you are getting so peeved. apparently I am not the only one with the eye concern. you showed me those eyes and they all still have the cro-magnon brow ridge that gives her a very odd appearance. her eyes are flat and without much life. I can pop out v3 and have her giving a wicked glance without much tweeking. but from the looks of it v4 would be hard pressed to do it. when doing work,,unless you are showing her back..the eyes make or break most work. if a face is just unappealing it can ruin what an artist is going for.
GUH I am to tired to go through for typos and such. so please forgive it is near 2am here.
