Bryce was a nice tool a number of years ago, but it has long since been surpassed in terms of functionality, ease of use and rendering quality by Vue.  Granted, there is a significant diffeence in price.  Ecosystems, SolidGrowth, advanced rendering, and indirect lighting are just too important to pass up versus settling for a warmed over mid 1990's technology.
