Try downloading some freebies, it will get you started and you will find out what you want/like without spending your buget on stuff you wont use, I wish somebody had givin ME that advice before I spend money on stuff I never use.

BUT... if you insist on some advice, go versitle... packages that will give you 2-3 skin maps and  7-8 skin toners (map modifiers) and 7-8 eye maps. (not just one).

As for super heros there is a REALY cool MAP OVER mat pose packagethat  puts super hero costumes over your existing (favorite) skin maps. VERY versitile, its called  "comic overlays" it has masks, pants shirts and full body overlays.

For fantasy DM / Marfano has a BUNCH of  FANTASTIC complete packages with body textures settings, props, costumes, poses, weapons, lights.........   HIGHLY recomended! And each is priced right.
