Subject: What Environments would you like to see?

Hello All,

I'm considering doing some modeling and texturing work for the Marketplace, but I wanted to poll the community first to see what is wanted or missing from current offerings so I know where to best focus my efforts.  I plan to build sets and set dressing of high quality and detail, which will be available as OBJ files with associated textures.   I'll be designing the sets as "construction kits" so that the parts can be arranged to create larger buildings or rooms, and combined with other sets and props as the artist needs.

So what genres or types of enviornments would people like to see?  Fantasy?  Gothic?  Roman?  Sci-fi / space opera?  Wild West?  Modern?  Horror?  Urban?....  something else not listed here?  Speak up now, so that I and the other vendors know what environments you need!

Ciao,
Gryphonvale

You know, I hate to be the person to say it, but I'll take anything. :D  At different times I've needed just about every type of set (or related elements) under the sun, and it's always a scramble to try and find something that matches any given scene in my head.  The idea of doing construction kits of any kind is simply awesome and bound to be a help.

As for actual themes... well what about shooting for something fitting the season when you plan on getting the first set done?  We're past the Christmas card season now, and a little late for New Year's, so maybe something aimed for our Valentine's or Easter renders?  Like romantic dining sets, restaurants, settings perfect for moonlit walks, fields for easter egg hunts, or other general late-winter/early-spring settings.  I know I can't be the only person who works pretty much seasonally!

Thanks so much for asking our opinions!!

How about ordinary suburban streets, a business district with storefronts?  It's amusing how rare ordinary things are in Poser.

The ordinary is needed. I have my own wishlist however.

1.Arabic/Harem/Indian style. There is some of that here but not much in a construction kit format.

2.Can be mixed in some way with the first, sci-fi that's not industrial looking and not necessisarily metal. More like a future condo or residential area or even a space opera house of sorts. Bascially, opulant in the future looks like.... Something that wouldn't look out of place in Dune for instance. I know that's vague, I'm just tired of sci-fi scenes that look like the basement of a power plant.

3.An ultra moden furniture set. Curved/round couches instead of rectangle ones, cresant shaped divans walls that have seats and even beds that are part of the wall and such.

I'm sorry, I know none of this is enough to go on. Anyways, that's my wishlist! Looking at my gallery might help to show what I mean, i've done what I can to build sets out of freestuff scraps and the grouping tool (warning: nudity).

The strong do as they can while the weak do as they must.

I have some models of ordinary subdivision, suburban cul de sac and lots that I made... haven't made very many houses yet (actually none finished, some in progress)
Any interest?
