A few points to consider;
- Compressed air anywhere near a digital camera is a NO NO! If you are unlucky, some liquid may be expelled along with the "gas"....something you really don't want, especially near your sensor.
- One of the most common problems with using any type of blower (eg for sensor cleaning) is that the particles end up deeper within the cam....the viewfinder screen is a common location!
- Do not touch the screen or mirror assembly with anything if at all possible...they are very delicate....the viewfinder screens are very prone to scratching.
- In your case...are you sure that the fuzz is on the viewfinder screen?.....it could be sitting on your mirror.....
If it is actually on the viewfinder screen...you really only have three options.....a)continue to blow, but use a "Giotto's" type blower...b) send the cam in to Canon for cleaning...c) Live with it, because it will not show in your images.
In youth, we learn....with age, we understand.
