No, it cannot be done. And I don't care how sure you are. The shader languages of 3D Max and the material lab of Bryce are based on entirely different mathematical formulae. There is no format you can use that will successfully translate the exact look of a Bryce metallic, or other procedural material into 3DMax, or any other application for that matter. Better start learning how to use 3dMax's shader language if you are going to render your Bryce models there. I'm done.
