Where's Gojira when you need him to go down there and duct tape those cables back together?  Where!? ;)

That would explain terrestrial connections, but what about satellites?  Maybe 3 billion people being rerouted to there is a slight bottleneck.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
