Well, I'm a decendant of the McVitties, so I think the Scots are the bomb.   Although, hollow pipe drainage was used in Crete about the time of the Minoans .... so I think the Scots can only claim to have "rediscovered" it.  Still, a good thing they did.

mboncher, I have little or no respect for Ann Coulter, even though I am a conservative in most regards, I can not tolerate the woman.  I'm not about to spend any money supporting her writing.  I'll stick with my own view of McCarthy.  I think he did more to harm the American spirit than he did saving America from subversives.  However, I absolutely respect your right to believe otherwise (both about Ann Coulter and Joseph McCarthy).
