Well, that's MS for ya. They had security holes you could drive a truck through with XP, so they tried closing them all in Vista (Vista Ultimate is the highest category of the 5 fingers of Micro...er, most feature-laden version of Vista..;).

I suspect, that for a nominal fee to EA, Microsoft would give them the code necessary to be compatible. I don't know if anyone remembers this, but there was supposedly a version of Poser that would access the web (Zone Alarm people noticed this a few years back) to check for copies of itself (same serial number, or somesuch?) and shut down Poser if one was found. If that code is still in Poser, that might be part of the problem.

Cain't win for losin'..;) I'm still on Win 2k, and honestly, no problems to worry about . Maybe 1 or 2 service packs down the road, I'll think about Vista, but until then..;)
