I have a book of Civil War oddities. This actually happened. A woman was close to the front lines, a la Molly Pitcher, and a Confederate round went through...uh...the scrotum of a soldier, out the back, and into the body of the woman behind him. The conception happened, and 9 months later she gave birth. They got married, and had 11 children the 'normal' way.
