Maybe I got this all wrong.. I'm not into the tech parts of IRC or not, or versus other stuff..

What I AM into is RenderGods, and I'd like to mention that is has been THE most important resource of learning for me.

I started out totally clueless with Bryce about 1½ yers ago. The forum turned out to be a great ressource, and I received a lot of help and advice there. I found out that some of the people who were most helpful at the forum, were also part of RenderGods, so I went there... and the rest is history, as they say :) I found it an easier, faster way of learning than the forum was. I made great friendships there too, which turned out to be very important as I went through some difficult periods in my life since I joined the channel - but that's not the issue here.

Lately RenderGods has seemed to be slowing down a lot. I don't know if it is due to everyone just being busy, or something else - but I sincerely hope the channel will survive in some form! I learned 90% of what I can from there, and it's truly a heart issue to me.

Drac, DON'T shut it down. Please.
