I totally agree with you, however, my situation was unique.
Actually when you check an advisory, the system automatically over rides the automatic thumbnail marker with the content advisory marker. That was my point, I did not have a nude thumb, I had  an advisory marker.  The error was on Renderosities side, and they have since corrected this, including putting my image back up.

I think there should be additional info on how the automated thumb marker is over ridden by a profile setting and the advisory check box.

The point is, you do not have to make your own thumb if you have your settings correct, and you use the Content Advisory Check Box/ Drop down menu.
