I am off to post the following back on the tech forum...after talking to tech more...

"Well... I think the best course of action I can take is to un-install vue 6 as it stands...it's been too tempting sitting on my machine, luring me in to try and 'make' it work....so I will just stop torturing myself.... and WAIT patiently for the 'final' version...then re-download that, and patch it as needed... and go from there... since you did not say anything about my ATI video card being a problem (as a few folks in forums say might be the problem).... I will just hang in.. make sure my video drivers are up to date for my card...and RELAX... give you all a chance to finish this great program... that I DON'T really want to give up on.... :)"

and FYI... I keep open gl and backgroud draw OFF... just was TRYING the software open gl for a test.... and I am going to go make sure my ATI video card does have the latest driver for it in the meantime... I am sure that e-on wants their software to work with most video cards as well as get the poser import working.... so again... I will just WAIT and use vue 5 and ENJOY how well IT works for me for now! :))
