Adobe lightroom is all I use anymore on all my images.
It is slow on my machine as well and had a bit of a learning curve for me. I find I like the results better then Canons digital photo pro. But you are right Canon software is much faster and does not bring your machine to a crawl lol

I am using the beta version of lightroom. I wonder if the new one is any faster?
