Thank you karen1573. dphoadley, you seem to misunderstand some key features of American politics. The differences between Democrats and Republicans is not much more significant than driving a Ford or a Chevy. They are on the same team, answering to the same powers. The differences are more about where the pork barrels go - who's friends and neighbors benefit. However, they all strive to please the same bosses (and it ain't the American people). It's really just a sham to make us (Americans) think we have freedom of choice. True democracy in the USA has been dead & buried for 100 years or so; probably more.
