With Windows Vista it's very slow and sluggish and takes huge pause breaks between tasks or something. Then there are the horrid Windows needs permission windows that you get for everything, and I do mean everything!  It's a nightmare.  

Then there is the huge amount of space it takes.

Some of the specs:

minimum 40 gig hard drive with 15 gigs free.
256 graphic card
512 memory

and I forget what else.  It's a huge resource hog though.  Even Powerland when I went to order my new system they told me to stay clear of Vista for a couple of years and do stick with XP Pro.
