You can get real coins which are quite ancient. (I have a Phoenician coin which is quite old, and it wasn't that expensive.) Coins in common use (like our small change) are available from many sources (check the internet to see the catalogs). However, they are worn rather than the minty-fresh specimens you are using. It depends upon purpose. If you have a merchant in a Moroccan bazaar or a Viking coming back from Mikligardi with a chestful of Arabian silver, you don't want mint, you want character. Carolly
