OK ... well this is a Honey Amber Lowex.  CD230 by Hemingray.  It is a type of insulator.  The different notches an other deformations on them are for allowing the different types of cable to pass across.

I mostly have insulators in carnival glass (also called a Mardi Gras type), amber, 7UP green, deep purple and various shades of blue.

The Lowex is also sometimes called a "Bull Frog" because it looks a little like one with eyes bulging out of the top.
