Yeah, I love the books those foks put out. And, before anyone visits that site (or any other site related to this book), please understand that the book is a ***parody. *** No one actually painted the cats, much less spent $15,000 to do it.
What the authors do, is create a "social phenomenon," and then write a book that "explains" the phenomenon (that doesn't really exist).
For example, their first book was called "Why Cats Paint" ... all about how cats, given the opportunity and materials, will create artistic masterworks. Then they did a book called "Dancing with Cats" all about how people and their cats do ballet together. Now, the sequel to the first book is "Why Paint Cats?" all about how people spend money to paint their cats .... (oh, sure).
These folks are Photoshop wizards. They do amazing things. But the whole premise of the books and most of the entertainment value would be spoiled if they called it "Photoshop Tricks done with Cats".
So .... please just enjoy the photos for what they are ... great Photoshopping. No cats were painted or otherwise harmed in the making of those images.
Could be worse, could be raining.
