No, going as deep as by outfit is not a good idea, it would be a nightmare, not sure if I gave that idea right in the above post. The same thing can be done with clothing props. 
You know when you buy a set of clothing it may have the dress for instance that is a figure and a choker say that is a prop, so my Prop main folder has a clothing props sub folder, that then has other sub folders like M3 clothing props, V3 clothing props, A3 clothin props etc.
Works ok for me!!
