sorry softcris,
I did not mean to upset you ;-) I've had my new system, with the same major $ investment for almost 6 months now. All and all, the $132.00 is spent on XP64 does not represent much of that ...but the time tracking down issues?? My advise was based on experience.
But like I said, Poser works fine on my system. Because I do alot of different types of graphics and video work, I tend to jump between alot of apps, and moving to XP64 has not been smooth.
As soon as I fix one problem, and get the sucker running - a new problem with a different program crops up.
Windows update kills quicktime - hours searching for a solution.
Installing Adobes Encore DVD makes DVD burner disapear - hours more for reg hack.
Getting light scribe to work took a 2 month wait for updated drivers...almost gave up with that one.
Premiere pro works good - but mpeg export crashes.
After effects had proplems until I limited it's amount of memory below my 4 gb - sad.
Photoshop sometimes acts strange - but nothing major.
Particle Illusion exports .png image files that Cinema4d can't read - but other programs can.
Anime Studio exports .psd image files that photoshop won't open.
Hexagon is buggy - but that is hexagon.
Z-Brush wont even Install - (and I had big hopes for that).
Note all these programs ran fine on my old 32bit xp system - abit slower.
And the list is larger...
