CD-R is vastly cheaper media and the hardware has dropped in price. If you stay with this long, and are a bit of a packrat, I believe you'll find keeping the original zips (with a thumbnail with the same filename) to be faster and more efficient. I think that half the stuff I'v downloaded and squirrled away has never even been unzipped. i.e. I haven't needed that car jack I DL'd yet, but you never know!

Does anyone know which is cheaper, rerecordable cd's, or 250 meg zip disks. I want to back up my poser folders, like the libraries and geometries, now that they are getting really big. I do have all the original zip files they came as, but I can't imagine reinstalling them all if I had a major crash. Therefore, just backing up the folders seems logical to me. Does anyone else do this? Dragontales
