You can make universal poses of previous poser-poses, but you'll need the original figure the poses were made for.  Load the original figure, set him or her in the old pose and save the pose in poser7, then it's converted to the an universal pose that you can use with any biped poser-model. You have to switch off  the IK settings and use limits settings, but sometimes they just has to be on, it's a bit trial and error. It depends on what the settings were when the pose was made. AFAIK they don't work in DAZ-studio and Carrara.
