This is a bit away from the original topic but:
If you're one of the ultra rich, sure - if you're one of the dirt poor, then no. Since rich vs. poor has been fundamental to the human experience since the dawn of history, I think this is less of an issue than it might appear in the immediate sense. It's not a very nice fact of life, but nonetheless it is a fact of life.
Note that the typical computer user isn't likely to have much use for more than a couple of GB for the foreseeable future anyway - how many gigabytes do you really need to download MP3s, track your recipe lists, and view porn?
