There was an ELL in the number that I was seeing as a ONE.
After changing it to an ELL, the code worked.
Manufacturers should be required to avoid using confusible letters and
numbers when they print a serial number on paper, or else spell out
the number in some fashion. The law already requires spellouts on other
important documents like checks and contracts.
