If you email the guys at Daz they may be able to sort you out, I'm not sure if they got a list of previous owners when they saved Bryce from Corel though, but there are places you could look for serial numbers to software you legally own if they can't help. The places to look aren't strictly legal so I can't provide links.

I'd use B5. But it depends on how old you grandson is........................

You will also need to install the obligatory update. DAZ has been kind enough to gather them together for all versions. Just click on the link and select Bryce as the product.Yes, although it was written for Bryce4 Susan Kitchen's book is very useful indeed for Bryce 5. And as Bryce 5 is a little easier to use than 4, I'd install Bryce5 for your grandson.
I have Bryce6.1 and I still use the bryce bible for this and that.

Ditto on Fran there, my Real World Bryce 4 is always within reach of my Bryce 6.1. It's invaluable.
Install both Bryce 4 and the free 5.0 on the PC if you want, I have 4 versions of Bryce on my computer, lol. (always good for reference)

I like to have older versions of Bryce so that I can test stuff to make sure it will work on them, - or I was doing so until I lost everything in the break in. But I am still getting things together again and plan to re-install Bryce 5.5, which I have as well as Bryce 5. Had it, but lost it, but got the free one... !

Why would I want to install Bryce 4.0? After all, I have 6.1.
I have my original copy of 4.0 with a great PRINTED manual, remember those? and the equally great book "Real World Bryce 4 by Susan Kitchens". I would like to install the program on an older computer for my grandson and feel that having the written material available would be a great help.
I have a problem, however, I don't have my serial number. I have everything except the original CD case which had the number on it.
I know that 5 is free. Would the 4 manual and book be close enough to be useful?
Does anyone have a suggestion or perhaps a number for me so that I might install the program?
TIA
