I too switched my olde and reliable 17" LCD to a wide 22" LCD. I didn't settle for the cheapest, but chose a model that set me back for about 650 USD. No switching back for me. 1680x1050 native resolution, USB hub in which I can plug my pen tablet, keyboard light for working in dark, HDMI for DVD player etc. No regrets here either!
