it was my hope, at least, that folks would only post friendly, supportive and helpful comments. if somebody is being abusive, let the mods know about it. however, it's true that some folks with no experience in one software will comment on images produced by that software, which is what the folks in the critique thread agreed upon. hence they may comment on what they think works (or doesn't work) in the image, even if they aren't experts. if critiques were left only to recognised experts, it would devolve into the situation prior to the formation of the "critique club": no constructive criticism of any kind. I had a feeling that complaints would arise in connexion to the "critique club", but I hope the experience can be mostly positive for the members.
