No way. Once installed, any reboot will complete the process. If this is anything like Windows XP Pro x64, it will finalize as it shutsdown so as to have the purty demolisher awaitin' on reboot.
The only way not to install an update is not to download it (uncheck in the updater download list and tell the bastards that you don't want to be asked about it again).
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
