I'm not sure where the updater download list is.  Okay.. duh, it's in the same place I am trying to uninstall the update.

What I did is to click on tools then windows update.   In there is a link to the update history. And there is the all important security update for today.  Then I clicked on uninstall although the install was still pending.  

Still hoping it works.  Most of the programs I have on Vista are working okay. 

The only thing I don't procrastinate is procrastinating. That I do right away.
