Yes, everyone loves my Exorcist avatar but that pic you posted of all those fantastic Apollos demonstrates your amazing digital sculpting abilities. Me, I can make a great 2 frame .gif. :O)
I've done plenty of modeling of sets and props and done some morphing and Frankensteining of Poser pieces in preparation for figure creation and have some thoughts I'd like to share since I'm not going to build a character or even prop head from scratch and, I'm guessing, you'll never be done trying to build the next generation of figure.
Default pose: I like the arms spread out like most characters but would prefer the palms facing forward, rather than down, for proper draping in the cloth room.
Conforming clothing: I'm not a big fan of the concept. You can and up with 5 or more figures per character and that can get awfully cumbersome. I've taken to building fully dressed figures and popping on the head of my choice, which can save a lot of resources since that does away with underlying and unneeded geometry. Plus, never a poke thru, never worrying what clothing will work with what character. Sometimes, it's no more that putting hands, bits of forearm and a neck in there, sometimes it's more.
Nested morphs: If I like a character enough, I'll take the time to hack the .cr2 myself and put them in there, but casual users aren't up to that.
So thanks again and I really appreciate your commitment to simplicity and elegance, you have done a marvelous job with Apollo!
