There is a downloadable pdf catalogue that shows everything they have.
Basically, whether it's right for you or not depends on what exactly  you need, I guess. The thing I like best about it is tat it has so much reality-based stuff. "normal" clothes, real-world props and scenes, etc. I don't get into fantasy much, most of what I do is reality-based so fantasy and sci-fi props and  costumes are of only minimal value to me.
The main thing with Poserworld is how much stuff you get for the price. (compared with how much it would cost to buy all the items one by one).
If money is a major issie, then the cheapest alternative would be to buy a one-month trial subscription which would give you access to the entire site content for one month, then download everything and burn it all to a few CDs (or one DVD). otherwise the best deal would be the lifetime subscription which would give you access to everything there now as well as everything they ever produce in the future.
