Thanks for the tips. I am running the retail as 32 bit on Vista x64.
I checked the folder and file permissions and all are Archive. Interesting thing though, the file dates and version numbers of the retail and the contents of the Patch are the same, even though the build is different. That is making me scratch my head since; most of you are saying you patched the download, versus the retail.
The Vue exe file will load, after setting permissions to Administrator and operating system to WinXp. But, I get crashes, lock-ups and all of the video driver problems I finally got rid of when using the 97 drivers. I do not have all of those problems with the NVidia Beta 158 drivers, so something is amiss.
Guess I will have to ask tech on this one or wait for a patch that says “for retail.”
